Biography |

| Jannie Pranger studied solo singing with Jos Burcksen, at the Utrechts Conservatorium. After her education she joined the Commedia Ensemble in München, a group who specializes in contemporary musictheater. She was heard in "Recital I" by Luciano Berio and in the concert production of the opera "Zum Wassermann" by Karel Goeyvaerts in The Netherlands. |
She sings in the
Maarten Altena Ensemble since 1990, where she went on tour thru
America and Canada. She can be heard on the recently produced CD
"Code" together with this ensemble. In the movie "Het Schaduwrijk"
by Kees Hin en K. Schippers (première in 1993) she plays the
part of mother/singer. In this movie she sings (among other) "Le Spectre de la
Rose" from "Les Nuits d'Eté" by Hector Berlioz.
